Army Staff Sgt. Jack M. Martin III, 26, of Bethany, OK, assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group, Fort Lewis, WA, died September 29th, 2009, in Jolo Island, Philippines, from the detonation of an improvised explosive device.

Martin is survived by his wife Ashley Martin, his parents Jack and Cheryl Martin, and siblings Abe, Mandi, Amber and Abi.

****Saturday’s Hours
Due to WOD WARS at CF 540 we will only have 7 and 8 am classes. All other classes are canceled. We have a ton of athletes competing this weekend. There are also going to be a couple games competitors (Camille Leblanc-Bazinet and Jenn Jones) in the house. I believe it’s $5 at the door to get in and watch. 


World-Class Fitness in 100 Words:

Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds,

some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep

intake to levels that will support exercise but

not body fat.

Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean,

squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly,

master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups,

dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to

handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds.

Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast.

Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns

as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy.

Keep workouts short and intense.

Regularly learn and play new sports.
